Bengo Langer

Bengo stumbled into medicine from a long history of environmental and social activism, during which he studied Ecology and History of Science and Technology at King’s College, Halifax and Dalhousie.  He went on to study environmental leadership and conflict resolution at the Arava Institute for Environmental Studies in Israel/Palestine, where he received a Masters in Desert Studies (yes, this exists), focusing his research on the securitization of global public health and using preparedness structures for pandemic influenza in Israel/Palestine as a case study.  Currently he is a medical student at Western University, where he continues to pursue theatre, music, vegan cooking, activism, and revolution as chairman-for-life of the Med Reds club at Western.
